LOSS offers many forms of suicide postvention and prevention resources and support.
LOSS provides support for people coping with the shock, grief, and complex emotions that often accompany the loss of a loved one to suicide. We want you to know you are not alone and that we care.
Each year, LOSS serves thousands of suicide loss survivors. We rely on volunteers, donations, and private grants to fund our work. Thank you for helping us make a difference.

Losing someone to suicide is devastating, and the journey through grief can feel isolating. Our peer support programs offer connection, understanding, and support from those who truly understand what you’re going through. No matter how recent or long ago your loss was, our trained peer supporters are here for you.
Support groups are each 10 weeks long, and are closed groups, meaning we do not accept new registrants after the first two weeks, so everyone can get to know each other. Sessions are held both online and in our private space with snacks, comfy chairs and separate areas to take breaks if needed.
Registration is required. These are peer support groups and are not intended as a replacement for therapy.

Our Signature Events
LOSS Community Services offers events that bring suicide loss survivors together in remembrance, reflection, and community. Whether releasing a butterfly in honor of a loved one or gathering for breakfast on International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, these moments create space for healing and hope.
Held annually in November, this special breakfast coincides with International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. It’s a time for survivors to connect, share stories, and support one another in a compassionate, understanding space.
Our Remembrance Bear gatherings offer suicide loss survivors a hands-on way to honor their loved ones. Participants create or receive a bear as a comforting keepsake, symbolizing enduring love and remembrance.
Each summer, we gather to release butterflies in a symbolic and healing tribute to our loved ones lost to suicide. This serene event allows space for remembrance, reflection, and collective hope.
