Designed for the newly bereaved, within the first 6 months, these 1.5 hour virtual sessions cover a multitude of topics such as the impact of suicide loss on the mind and body, the emotional impact of suicide loss, self-care after a suicide loss, and the importance of long-term support. Losing someone to suicide is devastating, and the journey through grief can feel isolating. Our peer support programs offer connection, understanding, and support from those who truly understand what you’re going through. No matter how recent or long ago your loss was, our trained peer supporters are here for you.
Support groups are each 10 weeks long, and are closed groups, meaning we do not accept new registrants after the first two weeks, so everyone can get to know each other. Sessions are held in our private office space with snacks, comfy chairs and separate areas to take breaks if needed.
Registration is required. These are peer support groups and are not intended as a replacement for therapy.

Losing someone to suicide changes everything. For many men, grief can become something carried in silence — but it doesn’t have to be.
This peer support group is specifically for men who have lost someone to suicide. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, this is a space to connect with other men who understand that experience firsthand. There is no pressure to share before you are ready.
Groups run for 10 weeks in a closed format, meaning registration closes after the first two weeks so that participants can build familiarity and trust with one another over time. Sessions are held in a private, comfortable office space with snacks and separate areas available if you need a moment to yourself. These are held in-person at our office in Upper Arlington and are provided free of charge.
