LOSS Community Services is pleased to host the 13th Annual National LOSS Team Conference! Join us for a powerful look at the postvention side of suicide prevention. Losing someone to suicide is a life upending form of loss. Postvention is the term used to describe intervention conducted after a suicide, largely taking the form of support for the bereaved, who may be at increased risk of suicide themselves.
Learn about the Active Postvention Model, the only program that meets suicide loss survivors where they are by sending trained LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivor) Teams that include people who have been impacted by a suicide loss to provide immediate support, resources, and to be an instillation of hope.
This conference answers your questions about best practices for supporting the suicide loss survivors throughout their grief journey. Be at the front of a growing movement and get equipped for the future!
If you are interested in learning how to support our efforts in this conference, please consider becoming an investor of this monumental movement!
New this year: We are excited to partner with OSPF as they host the Midwest Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Summit at the Greater Columbus Convention Center immediately following the National LOSS Team Conference. Occurring October 17-18, 2024, this two-day summit will focus on bringing together states across the Midwest of providers of suicide prevention across the Midwest, from coalitions and organizations dedicated to preventing suicide and promoting mental health wellness, prevention professionals, healthcare professionals, veteran-serving organizations, state and community leaders, and others dedicated to community solutions to address the public health problem of suicide and mental health. When you register for the National LOSS Team Conference you will receive $100 off registration at the Midwest Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Summit.
